The Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park consists of 272 acres of gently rolling hills, beautifully landscaped buildings, lakes surrounded by ornamental trees that create an ideal environment for research and technology oriented companies. Currently, there are ten buildings that house approximately 1500 employees in the park. Adjacent to the Mississippi State campus, the park is also home to several university research centers. Adding to the park’s competitiveness is the existing communications infrastructure to support tenants including MSU's High Performance Computing Collabatory which is a coalition of member centers established to advance knowledge and research in computational science and engineering. To achieve its goal, the enabling communications infrastructure has earned Mississippi State an 18th ranking for supercomputing power among American universities. The Phase II expansion of the park will cover 45 adjacent acres.
