The "Golden Triangle" of Starkville (home of Mississippi State University), Columbus and West Point is situated in Mississippi's hill country. The area is renown for the hospitality of the friendly people, the antebellum houses, the superb gardens, the lakes and waterways, year-round golf courses and wildlife reserves. We are well served by roads with easy access to metropolitan areas such as Memphis, Birmingham or the Gulf coast and a regional airport with jet service to Atlanta.
The friendly and growing community of Starkville is an ideal place in which to establish a business and to live. Because of the successful joint efforts between Mississippi State University and the City of Starkville to develop an ideal college city, many businesses including some excellent restaurants have established themselves here. There is in close proximity a community college, East Mississippi Community College, to provide training to employees.
Economic Development packages are from the Mississippi Development Authority and the Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority via the Greater Starkville Development Partnership.
The City of Starkville also has many amenities that are enticing for employees. These include an outstanding K-12 education system in its well-respected school district. There is excellent housing available in safe neighborhoods at prices significantly below the national average. There are numerous opportunities for recreation with parks, sports (baseball, soccer, softball, football, basketball etc.). The university has Division 1-A athletics including SEC winning basketball and baseball teams and the much lauded Mississippi State University football team together with numerous cultural events.
